The Director of Academic Affairs Resources (DAAR) is a key member of the Provost's leadership team, serving as the Provost's primary advisor on fiscal matters, personnel issues, and space planning for the Division of Academic Affairs. In this crucial role, the DAAR is integrally involved in creating and oversight of the academic affairs budget, audits, investigations, and public information requests, particularly those concerning budget, personnel, and space matters within the division. Additionally, the DAAR provides comprehensive administrative leadership and supervision across various functions. These include overseeing staff recruitments, conducting orientations, managing internal communications, implementing employee recognition programs, coordinating training and development initiatives, handling classification and compensation matters, overseeing performance management processes, and addressing employee relations issues. This wide-ranging set of responsibilities requires the DAAR to have extensive experience in budget management and administration within an academic setting. |
