Enrollment Services is comprised of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Prospective Student Services, Out of State, Specialized and International Recruitment, and Enrollment Services Communications. Enrollment Services implements SDSU enrollment management policies and provides services to students from their initial point of interest in SDSU to their graduation.
The primary function of the Office of the Registrar is to represent enrollment management programs and provide enrollment services to various constituents across the university in regards to the student academic record, academic class scheduling, and student advising tools. The Office of the Registrar provides service to the students through determination of eligibility for admission to the University, evaluation of academic records to determine the status of completion of degree requirements, assistance with course registration, and advising on the academic record in relation to transfer credit or CSU/SDSU policy.
The Administrative Support Coordinator supports the Academic Scheduling and Degree Audit Unit which is primarily responsible for academic and events scheduling in instructional space.
The incumbent provides administrative support to the Associate Registrar and analyst responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating production of annually published online class schedules for Fall, Spring, and Summer terms serving more than 30,000 students and 1,700 faculty members. During active registration cycles, provides support in evidence-based decision-making regarding classroom assignment to meet real-time student demand in an environment requiring rapid analysis and quick results. Assists with managing and enforcing classroom scheduling guidelines. Major duties include creating, maintaining and overseeing course catalog and schedule of classes; ensuring accuracy of data through auditing; assigning general assignment classrooms.
The incumbent is responsible for processing data entry to update scheduling of classes, events, conferences, activities, midterm/final exams, and meetings in campus shared inventory classrooms, auditoriums, and field and activity space. This includes additional SDSU events such as sporting, student organizations, and commencement. Events scheduled range from simple one-time meetings to complex multi-room events spanning weeks and even months.

Full-time, benefits eligible, permanent (probationary) position. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.
This position is physically located at the SDSU Main Campus in San Diego.
Education and Experience
Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite.
These qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical /vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources. Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $3,276 per month.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $3,276 - $5,148 per month.
SDSU Vaccine Policy
In accordance with the California State University system wide policy, students, faculty, and staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or provide a valid medical or religious exemption in order to access campus. Individuals are considered fully vaccinated for five months after their final dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or for two months after receiving the only dose of a single-dose vaccine. Afterward a COVID-19 booster is required to continue to be considered fully vaccinated.
The individual hired into this role will be required to submit their completed vaccination documentation to the university’s secure online health portal prior to beginning work. Individuals with an approved medical or religious exemption on file with the university will be required to participate in SDSU’s COVID-19 testing program.
