Part-Time Lecturer Position
POSITION AVAILABLE: One or more temporary, part-time lecturers for a pool from which instructors will be considered for appointments as they become available for Fall Semester 2024 and/or Spring Semester 2025.
DUTIES OF THE POSITION: The Department of Educational Leadership may seek temporary, part-time lecturers to teach courses in school law, school finance, and supervision and staff development in schools. In addition, the department seeks part-time lecturers to supervise students in fieldwork sites. Please note that teaching assignments at California State University, East Bay may include courses at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online. The policy and expectation of the California State University is that all faculty members will perform all of their duties within the state of California.
RANK AND SALARY: Lecturer salary is dependent upon educational preparation and experience. Position appointment is subject to budgetary authorization. The salary schedule information for the Lecturer-Academic Year classification is available based on the following ranges:
Lecturer AY (Range 2) - $5,507 - $6,677
Lecturer AY (Range 3) - $6,221 - $13,224
Lecturer AY (Range 4) - $6,825 - $14,523
Lecturer AY (Range 5) - $8,593 - $15,211
The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
DATES OF APPOINTMENT:
Fall Semester Start & End dates: 08/19/24 – 12/20/24
Spring Semester Start & End dates: 01/21/25 – 05/23/25
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a Master’s degree and relevant professional experience.
