The CSU Chancellor's Office, located on the waterfront adjacent to the Aquarium of the Pacific in downtown Long Beach, is the headquarters for the nation's largest and most diverse system of higher education. Salary
The anticipated salary hiring range is up to $10,834 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The salary range for this classification is $4,812 to $15,449 per month.

Position Information
The California State University, Office of the Chancellor, is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to conduct IT related audits at the system office and each of the 23 campuses.
This position is approved for telecommuting (two days telecommuting, three days in office (in-person)) with onsite work at the main headquarters located in Long Beach, California.
Responsibilities
Major responsibilities include conducting information technology and integrated audits to assess the adequacy of internal controls related to the confidentiality, availability and integrity of data; identifying areas of risk within IT and advising about risk control considerations; identifying opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies and strengthening business process controls; preparing adequate documentation supporting all audit work performed to support the preparation of a written report to management; and preparation of comprehensive, well-written audit reports summarizing the review results.
The senior IT auditor occasionally assists in audit program development and periodically supervises the work of others, including instructing new staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is required. The Senior IT Auditor position requires a minimum of two years IT/system auditing experience and significant progress towards certification (CPA, CIA, or CISA) is desired. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Oracle, and/or UNIX is a plus. Preferred areas of knowledge include: general and application controls, systems/application development, business continuity and disaster recovery, and technology areas including networks, communications, operating systems, databases, web technologies; and information technology governance standards and industry best practices (i.e., ISO, NIST, ITIL, etc.) and other IT methodologies.
Additional requirements include skill in analyzing policy issues, good organization skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to establish harmonious and effective working relationships. The position requires approximately 5-10% out-of-area travel (within California, no weekends).

Conflict of Interest
The duties of this position will include participation in decisions that may have a material financial benefit to the incumbent.
