    • Position Summary
    • Two(2) temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant positions in Music Department Office.

    • Days/Hours
    • 8-12 hours/week

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after October 7, 2024 and ending on or before May 23, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Electronic file creation and maintenance (e.g., scanning paper files, creating electronic file folders, renaming and reorganizing electronic files, etc.).
      • Phone and email correspondence on behalf of the Music Office.
      • Mail pickup and delivery.
      • Organization of materials in the Music Office and copy room.
      • Continuing administrative tasks initiated and assigned by the ASC (e.g., following up on correspondence/paperwork, checking facility inventory, reviewing documents and files, etc.).
      • Coordinating weekly work schedule with the ASC, entering monthly schedule to MS Shifts for review and approval, and submitting timesheet hours for approval at the end of each month.
      • In-person support for Music Office walk-ins (e.g., directing individuals to classrooms, noting and forwarding inquiries to appropriate faculty/staff, etc.).

      Other duties as assigned.

    • Qualifications













    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates prior experience in office support or related field.
      • Demonstrates understanding of basic electronic filing methods.
      • Demonstrates the ability to work independently after receiving initial instruction.
      • Demonstrates the aptitude for error detection and organization.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.

    • $16.50 per hour
