Job Summary
Under the general direction of the AVP Tech Solutions & Innovation, this position will work closely with the Innovation Team to support the current programming staff with custom applications and new projects. This position will play a key role in the development, design and maintenance of responsive, secure, accessible and user-friendly mobile and web environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support custom application builds and provide guidance and support for new application development by the Innovation Team.
- Design, develop and maintain existing websites using a mobile first approach - Using strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and ARIA, design and maintain responsive and accessible web pages in various environments.
- Mobile/Progressive Web application development - Where possible, develop Progressive Web applications to take advantage of the easy deployment and "mobile-like" features without the hassles associated with publishing mobile apps.
- Utilize accessibility (WCAG) best practices in designing, developing, and maintaining websites - Review WCAG standards to ensure that all web page elements adhere to accessibility requirements.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of network architecture, configuration and interfaces. Familiarity with different networking protocols such as TCP/IP and NetBlOS for maintaining and troubleshooting. Understanding of authentication services such as Active Directory and Azure Active Directory. Working knowledge of python frameworks, especially FastAPI, streamlit Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React and Vue desired. Working knowledge of HTML5, CSS and jQuery preferred.

Education and Experience
• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Information Systems, Educational Technology, or related technical field and 2 years of related experience required.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with Python IDE environments (Ex. Pycharm, Vscode).
• Experience creating, normalizing and secure databases using various database offerings (MySQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Oracle).
• Experience securing and protecting servers and information to comply with campus policies and federal and state laws and acts.

- Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,158 - $12,730 per month.

Time Base
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment
This is a temporary position for 1 year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
